SSVP Ltd. is an affiliate of the Society of St Vincent de Paul (National Council of Singapore) (“SSVP NCS”). SSVP Ltd. was incorporated on 28 February 2019 to manage and operate select SSVP nationwide programmes and services that are operated centrally, providing specialised support needed by our Friends-In-Need (FINs), across Singapore.

Your contribution to SSVP’s Mission
As General Manager and a key member of the leadership team, you will play an integral role in overseeing the daily operations of SSVP Singapore, this includes managing our dedicated team of employees and ensuring that there is effective governance in place, including compliance with relevant policies and regulations. You will report directly to the Chairperson of SSVP Ltd. (who concurrently serves as President of SSVP NCS).
Your Main Responsibilities
- Oversee day-to-day operations.
- Exercise prudent financial stewardship—managing resources within approved budgets and policies.
- Provide leadership, manage and motivate employees across entities.
- Provide governance and administrative support to the Boards (SSVP NCS and SSVP Ltd.), serving as the central point of coordination between both entities.
- Manage the implementation of the updated One SSVP operating model, and drive delivery and adherence to SOPs.
- Engage with Conferences to understand new/unmet needs of our Friends In Need (FINs).
- Develop strategic partnerships and collaborations (MSF, SSAs, and Church) to better serve FINs.
- Research emerging social trends and those in need, providing inputs into strategic conversation on new partnership or programmes.
- Fulfil Church and corporate governance and regulatory requirements (COC, MSF, NCSS, TRCAS).
- Orchestrate the management of strategic relationships by the SSVP NCS and SSVP Ltd Boards.
We would like to hear from you if you have the following skills and experiences;
- Proven experience as a General Manager or a similar executive role.
- Experience in managing a charity with demonstrable expertise in programme operations, fundraising, communications, partnerships, strategic stakeholder engagement and finance.
- Outstanding organisational and leadership skills.
- Strong inter-personal skills, a consensus builder.
- Aptitude for problem solving and proven ability to plan and execute effectively.
- Familiarity with the Charity sector and the regulatory framework.
- Values in line with the Vincentian virtues of simplicity, humility, gentleness, selflessness and zeal.
